The dual bowl Aquitaine Fountain is designed to have it's top filled with ice and then water poured through. As the ice on top melts, it keeps the bottom bowl cold. Our fountains are produced using Borosilicate glass (not the less expensive alternative Soda-Lime Glass). They have an extremely high resistance to both temperature and breakage and are very light weight. Fountain is clear glass (photo shows condensation).
