This drawing by Albert Gantner appeared in the "Guguss" October 1910 "The end of the absinthe Gentlemen is near" announces the poster with a scene of a figure in the clothing of the Blue Cross, a Bible in one hand and with the other points to the fateful hour of the new law coming into effect on October 7, 1910 at midnight. At his feet is the Green Fairy a dagger in her heart with the images of the Blue Cross surrounded by mourning wreaths called Geneva and Neuchâtel, the only two Swiss cantons that rejected the ban.
